As South Texas Persian Rescue continues to grow, so do our expenses!  This rescue is funded entirely on donations.  We receive no local, state or federal funding.  This is purely a labor of love for all of us volunteering at STxPR!

Every donation, large or small, helps our rescue continue to fulfill our mission:
$10 pays for one microchip
$15 pays for a cat to tested for feline aids/feline leukemia
$20 pays for one cat’s vaccinations
$35 pays for one cat’s neuter/spay
$75 pays for the basic vetting on one cat
$150 pays for one cat’s dental work
$250 pays for a senior cat to be fully vetted (including bloodwork)​

In addition to the basic veterinary expenses listed above, we always have out of the ordinary medical expenses.  We routinely get in cats that are ill with upper respiratory; these babies need antibiotics, nebulizing, sub-q fluids, ect.  And we have rescued cats that need amputations, eye surgeries, and other extraordinary medical care.

In addition, depending on the number of cats in our foster homes, our monthly expenses are approximately as follows:

$300-500 pays our monthly litter expenses
$400-600 pays our monthly food bill ​
