Adopted Special Needs Cats

We received an email from a lady who was concerned about two persians in her neighborhood. The owner of the cats moved and just left the cats behind. It's a well know fact that persians just do not have very good survivial instincts, and she knew these two cats needed help. So we helped! This is Stanton, one of the abandoned persians. A shelter in the San Antonio metro area put out a plea for a persian that had been left on their doorstep. The previous owner had left a note with the cat, saying that they were not able to afford to take care of the cat anymore. We stepped up and took the cat in. We named this little girl Stevie. We received a phone call from a Houston area shelter, asking if we could take in a litter of abandoned ragdoll mix kittens. They informed us that one of the kittens had a severe eye injury. We received a phone call, asking if we could take in an abandoned burmese. Well, burmese are not persians - but they are a breed that we adore. So we agreed to take in this sweet boy. Kashmir had several health problems which needed immediate treatment: he had cherry eye in both eyes, a fatty tumor, and such severe allergies that he was missing much of the hair on his body. We received a phone call, late one night, from a concerned citizen who had found a stray persian wandering in her neighborhood.
